Call for Demonstration Proposals

The following is the call for demonstration proposals:

  • Demonstration proposals must be submitted electronically, in pdf format, by March 22, 2010 (5:00pm GMT, 10:00am PDT) using the conference management tool.

  • Proposals should be focused on new database technology, advances in applying databases,or innovative use of database techniques.

  • Proposals must be submitted in camera-ready format and are limited to 4 pages.

  • They should describe the demonstrated system, indicate what is going to be demonstrated, and state the significance of the contribution to database technology or applications.

  • Proposals must not be published or under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  • Demonstration papers will appear in the proceedings.
  • Demo sessions will be arranged on 14 and 15 September, the 1st two days of VLDB2010 main conference
    program.  Each demo will be assigned to two demo sessions and be featured on both days.  Please look out
    for the demo program at the VLDB2010 website sometime later.

  • There will be a poster board of size 1m x 1m, a small desk and a 20 inch monitor provided for each demo.  
    You are expected to put up a poster and to use the large monitor for conducting demo.  A power source
    will be provided to charge up your own laptop.

  • The conference will provide Wifi internet access.

  • If you need special arrangement, please email the demo track co-chairs.
